"We found this restaurant through Trip Advisor when spending a night in Besancon and spent a delightful couple of hours there. The food and service was oustanding and we thoroughly enjoyed sampling traditional French food in authentic surroundings. We were tempted to share a platter of charcuterie and cheeses which proved to be a good start to the evening and we both enjoyed a local beer. I sampled a delicious gratin of potatoes, leeks, smoked trout and blue cheese in a scrumptious creamy sauce while my husband was equally happy with his crumble consisting of smoked sausage,apple and mushrooms. The desserts looked wonderful but having tackled a starter we just couldn't manage another mouthful. The young couple serving were outstanding such enthusiasm and hard work we have rarely seen. A wonderful meal in authentic surroundings and one of the best we sampled during a two week touring holiday in France."
