"On our first night in Paris, we chose to go to this restaurant on recommendation from the hotel staff. The service on arrival was adequate, but by no means brilliant. Being English, naturally there were a few language issues, however we did try to communicate as much as our French would allow! It was quite apparent the lack of patience the waiter had, and he wasn't particularly friendly. Luckily, the food was nice and the overall ambience of the restaurant was good. The decor was quite uninspiring, however that's down to a personal view. Obviously this is a popular eatery and perhaps as it was busy, the pressure was showing. However in a tourist area, this shouldn't have been made apparent. Much of their trade comes from visitors! The restaurant does take outs, and again seemed to be a popular option. If I ever go to Paris again, I may give them the benefit of the doubt, and return. The food was lovely and the menu offered a good choice. it was just the service that let them down."
