"Bann's has been around for decades, and they're situated now fairly Centrally in an expensive city, so they must be doing something right, but whereas they were once a rare thing a veggie vegan restaurant- they are now just one of many, and they've been overtaken, somewhat. I stopped eating here years ago, after one too many disappointing meals. Returning now, for a work meeting, I was struck with how it was mostly the same old menu. I had the fairly bland mushroom soup, which was a 5/10, the incredibly salty stir fried veg, which was an incredibly salty 5/10 and the chocolate cake which was dry and 3/10. Dry chocolate cake is completely unforgivable. I can only presume it is made in batches and then frozen, which is a crime against baking. But, the restaurant was busy, so I guess other people still love it. I just want expensive, restaurant food to be worth the money, not merely average plates of regret."

"Wonderfully different. if you want a top notch meal, to impress or simply enjoy, it is a must to visit, beautifully located in royal terrace a beautiful city house and that is just the venue. Eating is amazing, not simply boiled, slowly boiled and exceptionally well boiled give various aromas and tastes to delight every palate. paul kitching is a master at work, I just wanted more, the meal was 5 courses and I loved every morsel. we will be back soon!"

"Ok...pretty obvious from the name that there is an abundance of mussels on the menu. But this time...I didn't have mussels. I wanted to try other things on their menu. So I started with fresh oysters and had the pan fried scallops as my main. The oysters was quite disappointing actually. It wasn't that it was bad...just that it wasn't very good. Wasn't very plumb and was a bit dry. Thankfully, the pan fried scallops was quite good actually. Not overcooked at all. But the best part was dipping the bread in the pesto sauce."

"Went toget a sandwich and coffee.We arrived am.Was told could not get a sandwich until midday but could have a two course lunch,? We waited until midday ordered a sandwich and mug of soup.Waitress no idea what soup of the day.It was,not that...busy. Brought the wrong soup bit chaotic. Food was ok but need to get more attention to detail."

"This place was awesome. Firstly the staff were incredible, just the right level of professionalism and friendliness suiting this place to the tee. Constantly waited on but not in a way that it was too much, we always wanted another drink or more wings. The food was fantastic, we had the Mac and Cheese with more wings I should admit and the selection was just brilliant."

"A group of a dozen of us booked a private lunch party in charwood last Monday. the ambiente, the setting and the service have exceeded all our expectations and the addition of an additional, unexpected gastes has the staff not fade a bit the quality of the kitchen was very good, with a varied selection offered at and the dishes were presented with style, some dishes on top plates and the steak dishes on rectangular, wooden boards. charwood is one to come back!"
