"After dry January we looked forward to a night at Palco. We arrived and the restaurant was beautiful the staff very friendly. The staters came my husband had the scallops but was cold so had to send them back,I had pate but the toast was...so crispy and hard I feared I could break a tooth on it. My husband ordered another starter which was described as open ravioli, well it came with what could be described as tasteless mush on a plate with black squares of pasta thrown on top. The taste was awful and inedible, but also the parmigiano was not fresh but the pkt stuff that smells like "

"Not to sound too fussy ... but, we make home made burgers and most restaurants therefore disappoint ... Tommy Mel´s did not! 2 of us enjoyed a Burrito (served with nachos) and the very tasty Cesar Chicken Wrap. The other 2 in our family absolutely loved the Blue Cheese Burger (served with caramelised onions and rocket) and an Angus Burger (with cheese and onions), all served with slightly spicy fries. The children shared a Mel´s Brownie sundae, with icecream, brownie and lashings of chocolate sauce and cream. It was big, but next time will order two, so that we could taste some! The service was a little slow, but they were totally full and no wonder €53 for lunch was very good value (inc 2 water and 2 cokes)."
