"Hard to find good value these days, but this place delivers. <br/ Delicious food with generous servings and bargain prices, highly recommend. <br/ <br/ Pretty sure the poor rating is due to previous management, definitely not new management!"

"A great little fish and chip restaurant, best for takeaway as it is a little shop though you could sit on the chairs outside on busy High Street. Delicious flake with chips is a standout and while not extremely expensive, there are better value fish and chips in the local area. Fish on High is definitely the leader though for taste and quality. They are also very well organised, giving you a number when you call and an accurate estimate of the time the order will take to be ready. We have never had an incorrect item in our order (other than an extra potato cake or two). They do have some vegetarian options though we have never tried them.If you like quality tasting takeaway and don't mind paying a slight premium for it then come to this little gem."

"Chips were good, nothing amazing but good! Salad was fresh and actually contained more than the usual 2 or 3 pieces of feta! There is no such thing as too much feta, ha. Potato cakes were pretty good, tasted sweet though ?"

"This food was revolting. Unfortunately, we were served under-cooked rockling, soggy chips and poor quality calamari. We have been regular customers and were happy to provide feedback in hope of a better meal next time. Sadly, we received a rude and abusive response from the manager who completely dismissed our feedback and referred to "weird callers". She continued to berate me and redirected us to the "Chinese up the road". This was a dreadful experience and we will never return to this shop."

"My needs in a fish and chip shop are simple. Delicious but not perfect food. Comfortable seating with a view of people walking by. Friendly but not obsequious service.<br/ <br/ Salt Water Fish Chips did all of that for me today on my first visit and I've tried others in the area.<br/ <br/ The steamed dim sim had a thick, moist skin and wasn't overcooked another place nearby served me a mushy dim sim they should have discarded, which is bad economy because I won't go back to that place again. And it tasted good, but not perfect.<br/ <br/ The hamburger (the lot minus bacon which I didn't want today had tasty buns, held together and didn't fall apart on first contact, and tasted good, but not perfect.<br/ <br/ There are plenty of nice wooden chairs and tables. Not the plastic don't stay too long chairs you see elsewhere.<br/ <br/ And the guy who made the hamburger was friendly and didn't arrogantly plonk the food on the counter for me to collect. Quite a refreshing change from the low standard many fish and chip shops seem to aspire (could despire be made a word? down to.<br/ <br/ And the view out the window? Satisfying is all I'll say."

"Have just found my new regular fish ‘n chips place! Ordered a range of different food and the overall standard was excellent. <br/ fried flake: crispy batter, not too oily, juicy fish, delicious<br/ calamari rings: love these crumbed! Perfect<br/ salt and pepper calamari: very tasty with large chunks of calamari and well marinated.<br/ premium cheese burger: good buns, tasty beef patty, fresh veggies, a very tasty burger overall <br/ soft shell crab burger: batter not as crispy as the other things we bought, but generous portion of crab<br/ Greek salad: surprisingly very good, lovely marinade<br/ beetroot feta and rocket salad: the balsamic vinegar overwhelmed this salad<br/ sauces were all excellent, the spicy aioli on the beef burger was super tasty!"

"Hit and Miss. I've been here numerous times and I find that they're a bit of a hit and miss. <br/ <br/ I always get grilled fish and some days it's really fresh with great seasoning and some days it's really dry and tasteless. <br/ <br/ I do like their chips lots especially with the chicken salt. <br/ <br/ The staff behind the counter aren't very friendly. A smile wouldn't hurt!"
