"My crab cake was just okay. It had a sourness to it. Maybe too much lemon mixed in? The risotto wasn't as creamy, as it was sticky. The vegetables were limp and overcooked. I didn't eat them any more than to taste them. The quantity of food was very good. The peanut butter porter was outstanding!! Great little waitress. Very friendly. I liked what the menu offered; American fare, nothing unapproachable. The soups were good. The pimento cheese spread was good and a nice free starter. I'd go back. Although the food wasn't brag worthy, it certainly was good. A decent, friendly, clean, moderately priced restaurant in the Haymarket area. The name threw me off, though. Culinary, to me, meant it would be unique and maybe high end style meals. Underground also, to me, said something unique and maybe even so good I'd want to keep it a secret so the place wouldn't get so crowded and I could always get it. The food was more on a par with Applebees. Still. A decent place downtown."

"I don't eat McDonalds, it's literally every blue moon. But when I eat from this place, it's always hot and fresh. So far I had no problems with my order being wrong and I always order 2-3 persons."

"We had an awesome date night there last night. Everything we ordered was fantastic as per usual, the Martinis are bomb. Our server Brian was nice, friendly, attentive and on point. Everyone is always pleasant there, excellent service all around. Thank you for making our time there wonderful and memorable. We'll be back!"
