"My recent visit to Elephant and Castle Chicago Wabash Ave left me with mixed feelings, but overall, it was a pleasant dining experience worthy of a solid 4 stars. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting, and the service was prompt and efficient. Making reservations was a breeze, and they managed to get us out in time for the show we were attending across the street, which was a huge plus for our evening plans. The food, for the most part, was excellent. My main course, the Shepherd's pie, was delicious and satisfying. The rich flavors and hearty portions made it a standout dish. Additionally, the Starter of Pretzel Bites, ordered without bacon, was a delightful choice. The pretzels were perfectly baked and accompanied by a tasty dipping sauce, making it a great start to our meal. However, I must admit that I encountered a slight hiccup during the dining experience. While enjoying my side salad, I stumbled upon what appeared to be a piece of mystery meat that resembled a strip of bacon. As a non bacon eater, this was disconcerting and put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable meal. It was a bit disappointing to encounter such an oversight, and it raised some concerns about their attention to dietary preferences. In conclusion, Elephant and Castle Chicago Wabash Ave provides a good dining experience with delicious offerings on their menu. While the mystery meat incident was a minor setback, tasty main courses, and accommodating attitude toward modifications are commendable.
