"I had an excellent diner. A nice cordon bleu and the best fries I've ever had. Do you know those restaurants with pictures of plates where the amount of fries is almost hiding the main course? I usually throw the fries aside first and go to the steak beneath. But here, the fries are so damn good that I couldn't stop eating them. What did they fry them in, goose fat? Extremely nice! The cordon bleu was well filled with cheese and just as good! There's only one downside. The only accept cash like so many restaurants in Germany. That is annoying for me, since I can't do cash because I am here for business and I need receipts and such. They let me walk for 1km after dinner, just to find an ATM. Germany in general is way behind on cards and internet technology. I have better things to do with my time. Just charge me if you don't want to pay the fee to the debit card issuer."

"We were blessed with a fine weather weekend and finished up utilising this Rhein side restaurant on two occasions during our extended weekend in Cologne and Dusseldorf due to its very pleasant outside dining area close to the river. The menu includes several German options...as well as Pizza and Pasta choices and as there was a group of five of us we went through several options over the two occasions and only really experienced one ropey meal. I went for a Pizza on the first occasion and the Spaghetti Fruti di Mare on the second , and couldn’t really fault either of those. Service levels were quite good but on the second occasion the waiter did pull the trick of pointing out where it said in big writing on the bill that service was not included, something he had not been doing to tables of locals. Not a behaviour we appreciated either so as a consequence he got a smaller tip than we were first intending."

"Enrichment for gastronomy is the kaneo in merheim in any case. family-run German-Croatian cuisine. eating was ok and the price ratio appropriate. especially pleasant salat buffet with different dressings. suitable for a meeting with friends. not really suitable for wheelchairs inside but with a movable ramp it could be sure to do something."
