"What a great find! Eli was our waiter. He anticipated our needs/wants before we asked. Excellent service and food. The calamari was the best I've had in a few years. The sauce was awesome. It had a little spice and it was just perfect. We ordered a Americano pizza and it was cooked to perfection. Thanks for a wonderful meal and great service. A perfect first night and meal in Ashville. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Every plate that came out of the kitchen looked wonderful"

"My wife and I had an early dinner while wandering the neighborhood and not knowing anything about the restaurant. What a definite surprise! Service was attentive yet not overbearing. Very knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. The food was exquisite! I had the duck and my wife had the trout special. Mussels appetizer in a light cauliflower curry broth were some of the best mussels I’ve eaten! Delicious and not overpriced for this level of food. I always like when the chef visits the table to check in. Definitely will be back."

"This is a nice place to have dinner. The service is quick. Our host/server is very attentive and pleasant to the customers. Price is resonable. My pork belly is so delicious and soft. I devour it. Lots of choices in the menu. Steak is great too. This is a must to visit when youre in Asheville."

"Waited in line, 45+ minutes just to order a drink at the bar. Other lines have gotten served. Line waiting patiently to be served, yet not served in 45+ minutes. Will update with total time taken! Plenty of open tables and seats at the bar, kind of crazy! Managed (more than one) restaurant and also worked in them, simply speak to the people waiting hey it will be xxx minutes we 're behind . Nothing communicated and spoken, and also watching more than. One party just walk up to the bar and be served! Restaurant rewards free for all mentality and simple ignoring the rest. Why be civil? Walk directly up to the bar and order what you need as soon as you get there, will be all set! Update! Over 1 hour and not even a server or bartender to say we will help you soon . Waiting with people in front of me, clearly designated waited at the bar lines, not a single piece of communication from the workers of the restaurant. This is on a Wednesday afternoon at 450 pm. Literally just a case of noone wanting to speak to the people waiting, I 've been there! Sadly that is your job Please, tell me it will be an hour before I even get a drink, and I will not wait. Instead not a single piece of communication when there are clearly open bar seats, and others WALK UP TO THE BAR IN FRONT OF THE LINE AND GET SERVED DRINKS. Lol Update: sat at bar, at a single person seat that was open for over 30 minutes while I started at it. Ordered food, served bread that is cold, no oil to dip in, no seasoning, no butter, literally a plate of cold bread, loaf cut in half. Have you ever been served plain bread as an appetizer and not actually had anything other than plain bread? Must be because I 'm single and young. I took a bite but not very appetizing with nothing served along side. People next to me day in 5 minutes of waiting had plenty of butter. The person serving me could not even look at the butter they were serving to others and serve it to me as well! Almost never felt so disrespected in a restaurant before. Extremely disappointing as the service is only going down after the long unnecessary wait."

"My family and I decided to eat here because we've never tried it before. It has its ups and downs. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken that was good just needed a little salt. My wife had fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was the flavor was complicated. The pasta and sauce were good but unfortunately the shrimp was boiled but had no flavor. Her mother had spaghetti and meatballs that were good but the sauce wasn't exactly bursting with flavor. Our appetizers were garlic knots that had way more garlic than necessary and the inside was raw dough. We also had mozzarella sticks that were good but they use a universal marinara. I understand that there are a variety of diets out there but a little seasoning could go a long way."

"Our expectations for this one were good and it was a nasty surprise what we found. As a local, we've always heard that this restaurant was good. however, we could say that this has been by far the worst dinning experience we have had in the last 4 years. The food was average good, the presentation for the dishes was very poor, honestly looked like the food was thrown in our plates without any consideration of how it should be presented. Flavors were ok, but we weren't impressed. Now, the worst part of the night was the service. Our server was not taking the time to properly serve us. He forgot TWICE about our order, we never asked about our drinks and when we asked for the wine to be our dishes companion, he FORGOT again. So, we ate cold, without wine and in a bad mood because of this experience. Off course, as we could expect, the prices for this food are not cheap. I won't say they are the more expensive ones, but it is above the average price for nice dinning in Asheville. As I mentioned before, we are local foodies. We like to go at least once a week to a new restaurant in town. Modesto is in our list of NOT visiting again."

"The best of the best I had on my short trip to asheville. our waiter (I think his name is graham) was sooo awesome! he knew exactly what he did was so friendly, and was really a perfect waiter overall. the food was so good. it was pretty packed, they sat down right below us and our food came out super fast.
