"My family found La Cucina a few years ago, when it was just starting out and I couldn’t’t be happier that the chef has maintained his quality standards despite his tremendous success. It would be tempting to cave in to the overwhelming demand by taking shortcuts to turn tables more quickly and increase revenues, but not here. Instead, he turns away business to maintain freshness and quality for those he serves. Over the years, we have tried everything on the menu and there is not a single dish that disappoints. It is true that service can be slow by American standards, but it is because the kitchen and staff are small and everything is made to order. As I heard a server in another restaurant explain to an impatient patron, “this is not fast food. If you want fast food, go to McDonald,s. Here, you do not rush. Only waitstaff rush.” So, if you are willing to enjoy a leisurely, phenomenal dinner, definitely give La Cucina a try. If, however, you have hungry children or need a complete dinner in minutes, maybe save this for another night. And, it”s true that they don’t typically take reservations so, if you want a table, arrive by pm or after And, the reports of the owner being rude or discriminatory are simply asinine. If anything, he is overly generous offering free candy, fruit and limoncello at the end of the meal and even offering to lend us his car to tour the surrounding areas!"
