"The food was very good and the service also very quick but the bill was not what was promised in the list outside the restaurant (the dish of the day 10 euros including the dessert, drinks and cafe prato do dia 10 euros, sobremesa, bebidas e cafe incluido). For us the sum was higher. The waitress told that prices outside the restaurant are for workers (para trabalhadores) not for other customers. That was not mentioned in the list. So, if you visit that restaurant be careful with the prices. Perhaps it is best to check prices in advance or choose the other restaurant as we have decided to do next time."

"My wife and I were both very tired she from travelling and me from an overdose of WORLD CUPITIS. So we called in at the Snack bar NANU, having been impressed by the attitude of the staff when I called in for a drink earlier that day. This is not an expensive restaurant, it is in a quiet square just behind the tourist trail of the Avenida. It is next door to the Mia Duarte beauty salon. The menu is small but more than adequate, my wife had Ox cheek stew and I had Steak Hache with bacon,egg and onions,salad and garlic potato 's. A couple of beers, two glasses of wine and a small bottle of water. All well cooked and served by a pretty waitress! This all came to under 20 euros. I wish them well."

"What a fantastic place. We were starving and everwhere was packed. Saw the sign and went up the stairs, wow. Upstairs is a hidden gem. Lovely staff and great food, huge portions, cheap too. They even gave us plastic containers to take food home."

"Visited here after it has been taken over by the new owner. Has been refurbished looks nice and clean. We had converts, followed by chicke piri piri , large portions big appetite needed. Was a lovely meal with salads and chips and a lovely jug of sangria. Was really nice meal."
