"Came for dinner Friday night. Lovely ambiance, great table and really prompt service! We were given a selection of the main dishes and we were not disappointed! The eggplant and hummus are totally amazing and with that fresh bread...yumm. The lamb was amazing too, very fresh and goes so well with all the other dishes. We will be back!"

"I made a 8 pm res through open table. We showed up right at 8 and were promptly seated. We ordered shortly after and asked our server if we could space out app and salad and pizza a bit. He said “of course.” Salad and pizza came out immediately back to back. We were a little surprised but didn’t make it an issue. By 8:30 the place was shut down. Cooks scrubbing, servers blowing out candles, staff buzzing around closing up. We never did get our appetizer. When asked our server stated, “kitchen is closed.” We were respectful and hurried our meal to try to get out there as quick as possible before they shut the lights out on us. I guess my main issue is that no one told us the place closes at 8. If I would have known we certainly would have gone elsewhere. It made great food a very unpleasant experience!"

"This place is a classic SF institution. I have eaten here whenever I visit over the past 25 years and it continues to deliver. Great atmosphere, wonderful wait staff and great food. The key lime pie is well worth saving room for. Espresso was about the only minor disappointment."
