"I was there three times, the food is absolutely mad. No matter what you order, everything tastes excellent, visually also very appealing, and the weekly card keeps you changing. My colleagues have confirmed this again, Sverre as waiter is up and Fenja represents him in one to one. My conclusion nowhere better than in Parqino!!!"

"The only gastrooper I know brings 1000% value to its guests and to the quality of its food. I was there more than 10 times and I've never been disappointed! Also my little but fine wedding, which I was allowed to celebrate recently there, was uncomfortable. All guests were satisfied and also returned. Dear Mühlrad Team: You will not get rid of me so easily: P. S.: Your dealing with the annoying Corona is also absolutely exemplary! Go on!"

"Das Classico Napoli liegt etwas versteckt direkt an der Hauptstraße durch den Ortsteil Hailer. Von außen eher unauffällig.Der Service hat eine gute Präsenz und ist sehr freundlich. Es gibt eine wechselnde Auswahl von Weinen in allen Preiskategorien und hierzu auch eine gute Beratung. Der Koch traut sich beim Würzen und gibt den Speisen eine echte individuelle Note. Sehr empfehlenswert sind die Baby-Calamari z.B. mit Bratkartoffeln. Super lecker auch Rigatoni Arrabiata.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut!Achtung Raucher: Es gibt einen extra Raum!"

"The Gasthaus Zum Löwen is a beautiful ancient building with a long history. We went there as it was well rated on Tripadvisor. May be the ownership or management have changed recently but our experience was rather disappointing and strange. How to explain? The experience we had in the restaurant somehow does not match with the historic building and the expectations that go with it. First of all we noticed that there was quite loud music in the entire restaurant. The music came from a music station which broadcasted mainly pop and even rock music! As this is not the type of music we prefer for a nice dinner in a nice setting we asked the waiter if he could turn off the music. He said that this was not possible. He promised however, that he would turn the volume down a bit but in fact he did not do so. When we asked for the wine menue we were told that they had only two types of red wine by the glass. We tried one glass of each but would not recommend either of them. The food was just about okay. The service was not unfriendly as such but generally rather poor. Whilst the restaurant was not busy at all the service was very slow all the way through from the moment we sat down until we left. It was particularly slow when we wanted to pay and leave to finally escape the unnerving music. When the waiter finally presented the bill and I gave him money he asked me "how much (tip)" instead of respectively before returning the change to me! During our lifes we have visited many countries around the world and visited numerous restaurants of all sorts but this is the very first time to happen to us. It is so rude and unheard of that we were indeed speechless. All in all a very strange experience and we will obviously not be back."

"I met Carl the original owner when I was stationed in Gelnhausen back in 1986 with the US Army, unfortunately he was not around for my visit. I used to sit and listen to the stories by the older men in the bar. This hotel...bar/restaurant has been around for the longest time and is a meeting place for those who lived in the day . Situated in the heart of the Gelnhausen Old City, a great launching place to discover the Barbarossa City. One of Europe oldest streets is around the corner as well as the church that towers over the city, built in the 13 century, truly amazing. Take some time and check out the cemeteries, the towers, walled parts of the city still standing and the nooks and crannies of the old city...look at the doors on the houses above the city center and notice how they are only about 5 feet high, gives an idea of how old they are...pure history. If Carl is still around, he can tell you of the hey day and the US Army days, if not some of the guests will have something to say. A great little gem!"
