"The Ratskeller is not far from the Babelsberg S-Bahn station. The area is the local business center. The historic building dresses in brick optics. The main guest room is well divided and rustic. Light chains and paper table cloths are not particularly high quality. About a third of the tables were occupied. The friendly waiter tried and delivered a good service. The menu offers many regional dishes. I chose the goose breast with two potato dumplings and blue herbs for €13.50. The meat was cut and tasted well. The plate was appealing. As a greeting from the mosquito there was a plate with raw food sticks and three different dips. Nice bet. I finally enjoyed a red dip with vanilies sauce for a sensational €2,50. But the berries and taste could not really delight me. My conclusion: Tuny Ambiente with a matching menu. Worth a visit, but a detour is not worth it."

"We chose this restaurant after looking at many average sounding places, we chose mixed veg in a curry sauce with jasmine rice. What we got was exceptionally tasty and very good quality. The veg was very well cooked and wasn't at all oily or over...done and the sauce was perfectly spiced and in a Thai style with hints of coconut. There was just the right quantity of food and was served neatly on the plate. This was washed down with some very reasonably priced red wine. A very good experience of great tasting food in Germany."

"War mit einem Freund dort essen und daran gab es absolut nichts zu meckern. Sehr lecker. Auch die Bedingung war freundlich. Leider waren wir die einzigen bzw. letzten Gäste des Tages und wurden durch abdrehen der Musik, lautes Geklapper u.ä. halb nach draußen komplimentiert. Leider war es erst kurz nach halb neun abends..."

"We went looking for good German food, and found it. The atmosphere, on the rooftop of a highbuilding near the centre of Potsdam was also excellent. We both chose a cold courgette soup as a starter, since it was a hot day. It was really delicious.Then we chose a "Prussian Goulash" , full of taste and very distinctive. I thought it might have been better made with venison rather than beef. The chosen desserts, a chocolate souflle' and a raspberry dish were more interesting than delicious, but definitely acceptable. The house Riesling went down very nicely with the first two courses and we finished off with a pleasant Muscat. Altogether an enjoyable meal. The service was impeccable and the waiter even offered us a carafe of tap water!!! so we went away without the usual destruction of the environment this way required in German restaurants."
