"We actually spent several months at the Adler, which rescued us when other sabbatical housing plans fell through. Bettina and Matthias (new owners in the last couple years, I think) offer friendly hospitality, seasoned with a very artistic eye. The Inn is over 200 years old, with comfortable rooms (no two quite alike), but with solid amenities. The ONLY complaint is that the restaurant is only open for dinners, and then six nights a week (closed Wednesdays). The chef does a great job, offering a smallish but solid German regular menu, along with a seasonal set of "specials" that seem to change about once a month. Those are always great, too, and usually pretty creative. Prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly and un-rushed. Several friends booked at the Adler for shorter stays while we were there, and they all had wonderful experiences too."

"The food was excellent. the meat comes from own metzgerei and is of very good quality. without recommendation, I would not have come to the idea to search for this locality and I would not have found it because it is above a metzgerei in the first days. the service was friendly and attentive. I'll go back there."
