"This restaurant is exactly how it is advertised. It is a local place in a very old house. I think it dates back to The lady who waited on us was very kind and patient. Her English was not bad as our German ha The food is all German; it was very good. It is very local and very casual; my stars are because they do what they do very well. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is fun. We spoke with all the people sitting around us; we felt like we were at family dinner! My husband had schnitzel and it was very good. I had a piece of beef and it was cooked medium and tasted good. We both had fries they were excellent. I mean really good. I would substitute the boiled potatoes for fries every time. I recommend this great place if you want the local feel. Because we were in Germany the beer was flowing and the Riesling was outstanding!"

"Wir waren am 17. April mit insgesamt 9 Personen im Charge zum Essen. Die beiden schlechten Bewertungen können wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen, da wir regelmäßig hier einkehren, und bisher nie einen Grund hatten, irgendwas zu beanstanden. Auch am 17. war alles, von der Freundlichkeit und Schnelligkeit der Bedienung angefangen, bis zur Qualität des Essens super. Die Portionen waren groß genug um satt zu werden. Das hier in einer anderen Bewertung beanstandete "Charge-Pfännchen" können wir nicht als einfach nur in eine Schüssel geworfenes Essen bestätigen. Geschmacklich wie optisch ist dieses einfach gut. Das "Landgasthaus Charge" ist einfach nur weiter zu empfehlen."

"I decided to use the white carving with pan-fried potatoes (which is the right choice instead of riding) and had the old beer tomatensuppe with speck as starter. the suppe was excellent and seemed to be made fresh in the kitchen. due to the addition of...Altbier (a typical duesseldorf bier) and the specks it has a completely different note than a usual tomatensuppet. the white carving was announced as a real version, that is to make from calf and not from pork. the meat was certainly calf meat, but unfortunately they did not brew it in a pan with butter, and instead put it too frit. this made the taste clear, while the pan fried potatoes were well prepared. for my taste, they might have been a little browner, but they were okay. the service staff is very friendly and they offer a good service. the restaurant in the back part of the lobby can become a little loud when it is busy."

"After a large, extensive walk with the Pelznase over the large meadows and the forest, you can (not only) return in the Wolfsaap in beautiful weather and let yourself go well in the beer garden! Of course it is worth a stop in bad weather, because it is also cozy inside. The dishes offered are varied and both meat lovers and vegetarians find something delicious at moderate prices! You should only book for the purpose! Always worth a trip and we look forward to the end of the Corona crisis!!"
