"Before talking about food or about the service, you have got to bear in mind that the terrace enables you to enjoy a rare beautiful view of the lake and the Wetterstein Mountain. On a sunny day, you could spend the whole day swimming in...the lake, taking a sunbath, walking and hiking. it is worth getting up there. The restaurant provides fresh home made traditional Bavarian food, it is not a gastro pub. You have got to benchmark it to traditional Bavarian food, not to gastro pubs. Hence it will not be everyone's taste but provided you like sweet sauerkraut, boiled trout, potatoes with butter, schnitzel with French fries, wursts with sweet mustard, it must rank in the top places. The service can be very rough but it can also be very friendly, depends on the waiter, depends on the day. I'd recommend to give it a try (and if you do not like their sweet sauerkraut, it is not because it is not a good sauerkraut but it is because you do not like sweet sauerkraut) and enjoy the view!"
