"Cheap prices, homemade and rich food, and very good attention. A very quiet and beautiful family place, perfect for a family dinner! Maybe too family sometimes because the owner's family comes in and out. But always good manners and good deal with innocent jokes to break the ice."

"Ok, it was a little bit more than we were intending to spend, but I don't mind spending money when the value is so great! The only caution is that it is cash only! We just happened to pass it at lunch time and went...in. It's a classic place, waiter on Saturday was so nice and pleasant, worked hard. I can't believe it's not getting higher ratings. Our food was fabulous. We spent a lot more the night before and didn't get anywhere near the value. I would go back in a minute! The risotto and spaghetti bolognese were awesome and the product so fresh! Serves wine too! Mucho Bueno!"

"THe Lalo is located in the centre of Buenos AIres, in a kind of qiet side walk/square...though very central a very quiet place! The meat is first class quality so actually needless to say in Argentina and the steaks are prepared to the...point, ordered jugoso (pronounced khu go so) will be kind of medium. I'm mentioning this because I'm always surprised that the gauchos, in Brazil as well, tend to prefer the meat well done... The interior is very nice and the service is professional. A real nice restaurant!"

"Ubicacion muy buena, compre un cupon y alli fui, el mozo realemente un chico joven nos atendio de 10.Pero los manteles rotos y sucios.EL jugo era artificial y FEO. los tostados frios, los huevos resecos, las medialunas muy ricas pero quemadas.La torta de gelatina pero con muy buenos frutos rojos por encima.El Cafe muy bueno y caliente.En fin NO volveria y no lo recomiendo.Afuera es agradable, adentro el solo entrar te invade un olor a viejo y cerrado."

"I’m not really sure what the fuss is all about. It is a small and cramped restaurant. The service is friendly but not exactly switched on. They have two seatings per night, and if you have the 20:00 slot, they do emphasize strongly that they...want the table back at 22:00 sharp, but if you show up at 19:50 they won’t let you in. (Go figure). In terms of food, the Ahumado and one of their sausages are outstanding, but the rest is fairly run of the mill. I don’t think there is a compelling reason to visit this restaurant."
