"DINNER IN THE SKY PV an absolute must do! It includes a cocktail hour before at Salon in Casa Velas, a ride out to platform in a very classy way...secure and safe platform. Dinner by a famous chef some Top Chefs of Mexico and some Michelin chefs etc. Then an hour of the most amazing experience you can imagine in PV. Upon return to ground you are brought back to salon on a lighted pathway and you are able to enjoy open bar, card tables, music and dancing. I did the 6pm seating but there is also an 8pm seating that offers an incredible array of fireworks. Yes of course I am doing it again, I am to be back in PV Feb 20th and I am doing it for my birthday. Already booked for 8pm seating. Will never top this birthday spent at Casa Velas as always, and on top of it, Dinner in the Sky. There were so many question so I will give you a run down of exactly how it all goes. It is very secure and safe and is checked and double checked previous to seating. You start out at salon/banquet hall at Casa Velas. .welcomed to a cocktail party with cheese, chocolate covered strawberries, wine, champagne, drinks what have you. Only one drink allowed before going up. You sign a Disclaimer, are told no pocketbooks or bags etc for security. They have a person who will check your things for you. You are allowed camera or cell phone. Pants might be a better option for ladies as the harness does go between your legs, I also wore a sweater and was glad as it was a bit chilly for this month in general. You are taken out along a runway per say..on golf carts to the platform...almost forgot you are given notice 5 minutes before to use bathroom..so thus that is over and of course you washed your hands.You arrive at platform..again greeted and then one by one seated and harnassed in. Very unique situation. Feel very secure. Next, well the descent upwards starts, music, clapping, a courage shot of Herradura Ultra tequila..smooth..smooth..I bought some already for home. There is bottled water, white and red wine in front of you. glasses continually refilled.You can actually recline in your seat, swivel and just enjoy. Your feet are on a platform, but high heels might not be best scenario and hold onto your camera or cell phone. We had Chef Claudio Hotter and it was a great meal in the sky. Food is precooked of course but prepared in special way in the sky and served to you. They make it lots of fun. Pictures are taken and you can also buy them afterwards. Food was great..served wonderfully. Menu changes daily. They offer regular, vegetarian or vegan. Our menu consisted of Oyster on a soft blanket, ( was like a large oyster with cheese on top cooked and placed in shell on top of pink salt ) Crab and white tuna Timbale with short juice and horseradish air, ( this was a hot soup very tasty and served wonderfully), Lamb casserole with creamy sweet potato and morel intensity (a lamb casserole on top of corn husks, in a small casserole dish with cover, so tender, no knife needed, though supplied, and the sweet potato and veggies with it were just wonderful), Next came on a wooden personal platter , Presentation of finest Cheese Maker ( an assortment of cheese, very different types with dips and sauces..yummy with wine), then dessert was Kaiserchnarrn, ( like a bread pudding almost but not composed, it looked quite different but really was quite wonderful, I tried it separate as served or putting all together). The food was great but the experience and fact of dining in the sky was the utmost!!The platform reaches 45 meters with barely any movement felt. The platform does a 360 degree rotation as a norm..Sadly we had a windy hour so we were tethered (the platform) and unable to do the full rotation. Safety first. The staff make it really fun and if per chance you are ne4rvous they do cater a bit to you. When you return the pathway to salon is lit up like a runway and you are taken back and given bracelets for OPEN bar, music, dancing, card tables and fun mingling.I absolutely loved it...My adrenaline was on overdrive and I just was so thrilled with this experience. It was what should be an experience of a lifetime but have booked the nighttime one ( 8pm) with fireworks and all for my birthday with my husband later this month...imagine..chicken of heights, is doing it again. Truly a height fear is not an issue on this ...it is smooth, and steady no rocking, or such. In reality for all it entails and the entire experience etc..The price is a bargain. I have paid close for a very fancy meal with open bar etc...and it was not an experience.I suggest this to anyone who can do it...it is just awesome.. .Do it..it is just incredible...I am so glad I did. Casa Velas and Dinner in the Sky once again have totally amazed me.Pictures to follow later."

"This place is located in downtown Puerto Vallarta and it had excellent service with great food. I had the salmon and it was a good sized portion with great flavor.I would highly recommend eating here. The only bad thing was that there was no air conditioning and it was rather hot."
