"We stopped here for lunch while we were out and about. I had the chowder fries and they were delicious! To explain, fries smothered in delicious seafood chowder. Oh my was it tasty! For dessert we shared blueberry bread pudding and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. The restaurant is decorated very simply but the views of the bay are spectacular!"

"We have visited this hotel many times in the past and have always enjoyed our visit, the meals are good and reasonably priced, the service is quick and efficient, we visited on a day that had several groups enjoying a pre-Christmas get together however our...meals arrived much sooner than what we expected given that situation and were delivered by friendly staff who obviously were enjoying their work load given that it was significant on the day."

"My husband and I stopped here for lunch while touring on our motorcycle. There were not a lot of choices in the area so detoured off the main road to Northport. This little restaurant is on a pier. There isn't much to do except eat here. It might have had shops at one time but there really aren't any left even though there is a huge sign that says there are shops. I had the PEI mussels and they were good, my husband had the pulled pork sandwich which he liked. Service was good. I wasn't bowled over by the place. Had a nice view of the water and a lighthouse. I would go someplace else in the area next time. Probably closer to town of Alberton."

"Best Coffee Shop/Bakery ever! We stopped in here on a motorcycle trip by chance and I would go back to PEI just to go there. Sandwiches are made of fresh homemade bread that just melts in your mouth and the coffee taste amazing. Service is like stopping in to visit your mother you haven't seen in years. Highly recommend this place."

"Everything about Chez Cartier is excellent: the food, ambiance, service, cost--especially the food! I eat there whenever I get a chance to visit Alberton, about 4 or 5 times so far, and have always been completely satisfied. It has never been busy while I have been there so I think people are missing something special. I haven't yet had an opportunity to stay at the adjoining B&B, La Petite France, but I expect it is wonderful, too. In the off-season, the cafe is open Wed.-Sat., noon-8 p.m."

"The waiting staff (1) and chef were very friendly, and the food is amazing. But, the managers are not very friendly. Felt like we were an inconvenience being there. They closed the restaurant whilst we were there (3pm on a Thursday)."

"I have been a member @Virgin Active Meyersdal for many years, one thing that has always been consistent was the service I received from my beautiful and friendly ladies and gents at the Meyersdal Kauai. The food is always made with love and my coffee just hits the spot! I actually can’t wait to get a coffee in the morning, hands down one of the best coffees I have had When the owner is not there, u are welcomed by: Hope, Nomsa,Tiny and Senzo, and they are ever ready to give you the service you deserve!! I’m not boasting but the staff at the Meyersdal Kauai is definitely better than any other Kauai I’ve been to!! Definitely recommend a visit!!"
