"We called in on a day out to Barrigem Santa Clara. It is a large space with typical Portuguese decor. There is an adequate selection of dishes for lunch to choose from. The couvert consisted of bread, cheese and quince jelly. For mains we had...mixed cuts of black pork, grilled chicken and casserole of lamb. All of the food was tasty and well presented. We received friendly service and enjoyed our lunch."

"Very popular with locals, usually a good sign. Especially busy on Tuesdays when next door, larger restaurant is closed. Typical Alentejo fare all done well. Not ideal for vegetarians. Cheese omelette or 'salad' (yes, the usual three ingredients). We were unfortunate to have one wrong...More"
