"I have been going here for years , it is a lovely place to eat, the food is delicious, cooked how you want it ,ie steaks , it is always very well presented on the plate and always hot . The ambience is delightful very cosy and welcoming, the staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful and friendly."

"Came with high hopes after a refurbishment but left disappointed. The food wasn’t bad but nowhere near where it was a few years ago. The comfy sofas in the bar have been replaced by (too many) rough pub chairs and tables, likely to create more covers, but with only two staff to do all the serving and the bar, it seemed rather pointless and it had reached the level of joking with other customers about the delays. I’m not going to criticise those working there as they were obviously doing the best they could but whoever owns/manages this establishment needs to take a long, hard look at what they want achieve. There are plenty of much better places in every respect around the local area..."

"We had booked a table for six of us in relatiw short time and were very friendly. all had the sunday roasts, which was lamb and pork, which was eating was perfection and cooked with generous portions. the children were amazing. the crumb and broth and butter puddings had to die for this. will definitely go back to try more of the menu."

"Edlesborough Ford has a special place in my grey haired heart (as Dylan Thomas would say). Never mind scrumping apples we discovered that upstream of the Ford itself and within sight of the old Windmill there roamed delicious rainbow trout who would succumb to a knob of bread paste on a 10lb breaking strain line and a size 10 hook ! How delightful it was to sit down again for lovely cakes and tea coffee. Steve Creed, Bruce Lange, Wilf Hately; and 'chew the fat ' about our naughty pre teenage poachery at 'The Hirloom '. I no longer have the split cane rod that I swapped with Bruce, But if 'The Heirloom Cafe ' want 's a 'wall hanger ' I can gift something similar (or swap it for a cup of tea and a cake ?"

"Called in a small order at 18:10. We were told it was a 40 minute wait which was fine as we were on our way home and timed it so we could collect rather than wait for delivery as we had our son in the car. We pulled up and went in at 18:45. At 19:00 we chased…..nothing. They completely ignored the fact it was now late and carried on serving tables. At 19:10 asked again….nothing. By this point I’ve had to sit in the car with my son for 25 minutes. At 19:15 we told them to just leave it was it was nearly 25 mins later than expected. Funnily enough THEN the food appeared. When we got home it was not correct either. Good was cold and overcooked. If they had told us the wait was going to be over an hour we wouldn’t have placed the order! Never again!"
