"We had a lunch at Le Mascaret. Philippe Hardy, the chef of this Michelin starred restaurant is generally known in French gastronomic circles for amongst others his pré-salé lamb dishes (lambs that lived and grazed on the land, flooded by the sea, and therefore are lightly salted).We chose for the cheapest 3 courses-menu and were treated on the finest and most delicate tastes one can hope for. A description of what we had would only be incomplete, because one forgets the details, but know that the dishes were accompanied with bread, and two kinds of butter and fleur de sel. The chef makes his beechwood smoked butter himself. Every dish was so refined and tasty that we were emotionally touched by the complexity of tastes, and especially the honesty of good basic materials, as fresh fish and meat, but especially the "forgotten" vegetables out of their garden.a very tasty white Viognier, and a powerfull red Madiran completed the picture.Good to know that this menu costs 25 euro pp.(without the wine, of course)I don't wish to discuss with Michelin, but in the tripadvisor-guide, Le Mascaret deserves more stars..."

"We have been eating there every day for more than 5 years and have seen an impressive staff turnover. That's probably why our plates are often uneven in the presentation or content and that's a shame. however, promotions or specials are interesting. this establishment that is a meeting place for business people on the hour of the noon the week should seriously think of a space for families and children given the room that allows it. a lack of will to do it despite my demands, a shame!"
