"Environment: They sit in the inn in the middle of one of the oldest town squares. "General After our sightseeing program in Burghausen with a 90-minute guided tour over the "Last Castle of the World" with 1051 meters and a walk through the old town at the foot of the castle, we drove to the late lunch to the Raitenhaslach monastery house, just a few kilometers away. The baroque monastery complex is the oldest cistercian monastery complex in Bavaria and, very idyllic in untouched nature, is located in Salzach, like the city of Burghausen a rewarding destination, not only for cultural and art lovers, but also for lovers of good cuisine. Ambiente The Klostergasthof is considered one of the most beautiful gastronomic facilities of its kind in Bavaria and offers space for more than 200 guests in various rooms, all of which are original and artistic. In the beautiful chestnut beer garden with self-service you can enjoy the bread time with a freshly tapped beer or be served on the sun terrace on the back of the inn. Service It was so at 2 a.m. when one of the few still free tables with typical beer tent seat by a friendly lady in the Dirndl. We had to wait a little longer for the menu, the order pickup and for drinks and food, the 3 female service employees were obviously somewhat “overwhelmed” and were too often guests of a wedding company for which one of the guest rooms was festively covered. In the competition Bavarian cuisine of the State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests, the monastery house was awarded a bronze medal, not least because the kitchen places a special emphasis on the use of regional quality products. The menu offers Bavarian, seasonal and regional delicacies. We were quickly confused and chose from the Day Card Putensteak asparagus, with Hollandaise and new potatoes to €13.80. Review: On a large preheated plate, very tasty, perfectly cooked white and green asparagus were served, covered with an excellent velvety sauce Hollandaise with its own taste. Also successful were the tasty new potatoes, crowned with fresh dill and parsley, as visually as culinary I – bounties were a culinary cape on the edge of the dish besides a half Kirchtomate. The meat supplement also tasted super, a small wonderfully juicy, discreet turkey steak with pleasantly roasted aromas. Tastefully the food deserves 5 stars, but there is a little bit of a “children’s share” – a total of 4 bars asparagus medium sized and small, 3 small potatoes and a ministeak are better suited as intermediate meal. I also expect more for a moderate €13.80. Beverages: freshly tapped lights from the Hofbräuhaus Traunstein Conclusion: very good convent kitchen in the distinctive historical ambience"

"It was recommended to go to this restaurant by many people for dinner. A colleague and I went, we both had a burger and fries everyone, shared a plum dessert speciality they had, and everyone took hot chocolates to go. The prices were reasonable and everything we... were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It's too busy, we've just been there, so we don't wait too long, but it seems that they often have live music. Most employees knew a little English, no English menu versions offered, but they gladly helped us through the menu. Great experience."

"I wanted to invite my better half to the candlelight dinner. Actually, we wanted to go to another restaurant, but the parking was not given for a Christmas market. But there was nothing against testing the new il borgo (former da sandro). The ambience: Italians usually have too much decoration when it comes to their guest rooms. They can't take that, it's not in it. Like here. It is always a ridge between flirt and cheesy. But in the end it has its charm. Especially when the decoration items are preserved. And clean it is definitely in il borgo. Service: What would be Italian restaurants without their good-yellow waiters who want to enjoy their guests during the operation and need a certain blow. You feel very welcome in il borgo, from welcome and table occupancy to leave the restaurant where the door is also stopped. Food: It has recently become a vegetarian (but fish because fish is not meat and sometimes a hot dog), and ordered a ham pizza without ham. I had penne with salmon in white wine tomato sauce and as an appetizer tomato mozarella salad on basilumpesto. The proportion was appropriate, not too little salmon, a bit too little intense, but generally very good and since I could never get it home. Also the salad was great, the Mozarella was not comparable to what we know from the supermarket. Unfortunately, tomatoes in Germany simply do not taste like in Italy. The Pannacotta as a dessert was unbeatable and a stamp of good Grappa went to the house."

"Glöcklhofer is the best address for tourists and business people who want to experience a little played Bajuwarentum. Operation: normal. Food: Phenomena. I can only confirm the experience of my predecessor. Skin cuisine in high shape. The dishes are partly traditional, sometimes very unusual. In any case, I took this organic cheese plate from the Alztaler Hofmolkerei, Eco let it go, with pineapple cahutney, grapes and homemade Dinkel-Brioche, which was extremely exquisite. Some different cheeses with different bread, the aesthetic was no longer able to improve the decoration and taste. Only 4.5 stars, because: The different cheeses are each in small bowls, and a cheese is as triangular as the cool butter and has the same size, a similar color and consistency. This led to my first bite in a big piece of butter. Not even so good. And: As often mentioned, there is and remains an unding, especially in such tourist resorts Munich mainstream beer, although in the immediate vicinity there are breweries that are much better. Nevertheless: At Glöcklhofer everything is somewhat expensive, but its price is somehow worth (except beer) and especially because of the kitchen highly recommended."
