"A cute cafe tucked to the side of a garden center. There was an outside garden seating area where people were having their mid-morning coffees. The staff were cheerful and friendly. We ordered the beef burger and the BLT. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the burger and how juicy the patty was. My wife 's BLT came in a 'deconstructed ' form (or maybe it was supposed to be an open sandwich . Herbs in the focaccia bread they used for the BLT was quite overpowering for me. They had Rocket Fuel sauce which was a bonus for us :"

"Its been a while since we visited One Fat Bird and the menu has changed since our last visit and now has a smaller range of meals to choose from. We started with the German Pretzel which we shared and enjoyed, an interesting and novel starter. I had the steak sandwich and was very happy, plenty of steak and other fillings and good value for money, my wife had the Vegan burger which was $29, the most expensive Vegan burger we have seen, while it tasted fine it appeared to be a processed manufactured pattie, the rest of the filling was fine but we felt the price of the burger was not justified in the product, a price of 24 would be more realistic. The service was friendly , efficient and prompt and the live music was very good, a very talented musician who I would quite happily sit and listen to. Overall a very good night but just not good value for money on the vegan burger."

"The Hop Scotch was burnt, and the Glenside Chowder was so watery, its not creamy at all, from what my friend said when she came. Also found prawn shell in the chowder. So disappointed."

"Superb British Pub don't expect more than a warm, cozy public house environment complete with good pub fare. Food on offer varies from classic Cornish pasties to Millennial friendly avocado on sourdough. Beer choices include a house lager and ale, while local breweries act as guests, like Fortune Favours and Red Reef. So many wine options, beer drinkers are normally a little taken aback. Free venue hire; hot cider, mulled wine and buttered rum on Tuesdays; and, Pies and Pints on Thursdays. Can't get better. A colour interior is very Best of British kitsch, but this adds to the positive atmosphere and good vibes. Go here after work for a pint and enjoy house mates or colleagues at a good stop on the way home."

"The ambience is normal, as is the food. However, it's a rather nice (and free) place to spend some time with your friends playing as there are 5 pools. Nice staff, reasonable prices, and good location."

"Flavours in Marsden village does the best takeaway food in Karori. The mixed platter and lamb cutlets were superb, the curries were delicious.<br/ <br/ The service was quick, with the food very well packaged, generous quantities and hot. I highly recommend this place."
