"We had the fixed price dinner that was less than $2.50. There were a lot of options to choose from and the portions were large. The meal comes with a large jug of Jamaica flower water, plus handmade fresh tortillas. The soup course...was very good cream of vegetables, delicious. The main course I chose for chile relleno de queso was also good. Not the best food I've ever eaten, but decent, especially at the price. The service was very good, especially considering that the place was full. I'd go back for a cheap lunch. It is obviously popular with locals, so be willing to wait for a table when you are between 2 3 pm, the popular lunch hour. It's just a few blocks from zócalo makes it a good choice if you want to eat in downtown. Other places are fancier, more expensive and may have more original menus, but this place offers enough choice that you need to find something you like, even vegans have choices here."

"I had my mom´s bday celebration going on for 5 days and El Gusto Cuernavaca was one of the spots we hit in this mini-tour. The place is absolutely gorgeous, totally adored the furniture, the staff, the gardens and the whole experience. Best hot chocolate...ever, with real chocolate bites and whole milk, delicious baked goods and awesome breakfast. We were a party of five and everyone was delighted with their selections, we had an assorted sample of the menu as we all requested very different things and we all got a lot more than we bargained for. The staffers were superb and I even asked for a slice of cake and bday song for my mom: They delivered 100% perfect"

"I made the reservation and they confirmed the same via OpenTable on my mobile. Upon arrival the restaurant was closed. Nothing to do even though we arrived from CDMX to visit the restaurant. The anniversary celebration of my in-laws painful. OpenTable's response: “We work hand-in-hand with the restaurants in our network to ensure that their hours of operation, availability and other details are up to date on their profile. Although this happens very rarely, it is completely unacceptable when it happens. We will continue with the restaurant this week to address the situation and ensure that this does not happen to other OpenTable diners. ”Responsibility should be shared, not just with the Restaurant"

"Since decades lived in cuernavaca, I always am surprised how many great restaurants there are in the city. After I have traveled the world for decades and tried the regional foods at every opportunity, I am always open to try small, small well-known restaurants....When a friend recommended to taste a restaurant she liked, I was all for the experience. what I found was a small family restaurant that has all great food, service, ambiente and price. restaurante el asadero is such a place 40 years ago opened a young man el asadero on plan de ayala in cuernavaca. he certainly fought for the first few years, but he persisted. el asadero has survived and is today led by his daughter who is the hostess and you man who cooks before the restaurant. there is no parking or parking and they need to park on a side street, as they cannot park in front of the restaurant. there is no air conditioning, but then it is not necessary in cuernavaca. the restaurant is small with only a few tables. the restaurant is located on one of the busiest roads in cuernavaca and since it is open to the street, the noise is noisy. but none of this is important for those who finally find the restaurant and its economical joys. on the menu you will find the best grilled meat in cuernavaca costilla asada, arrachera (hanger steak,) rib eye, sirloin, chistrorra, chorizo argentino, lachs and more, all served with a sopecito, grilled tweezers and nopalitos. the portions are generous, so they go with an appetit. there are alcohol-free drinks as well as wine, beer and tequila to drink and flan, helados and not dessert. my companion and I sat in front, next to the grill, to see how our steaks were prepared. we ordered both the arrachera, which is sometimes known as metzgers steak, because this is the tenderest bark cut she has been considered by the metzger for years instead of offering it for sale. what they would sell is the left side, which is smaller and harder than the right side. it is considered a bistro steak and excellent for its taste. in the rule is arrachera in the rule not as good in the south mexicos as it is in the north, perhaps due to the aging and marination process. my companion and I were amazed at the quality, tenderness and taste of the arrachera in el asadero and agreed that it was the best we had. tonight we will return with another companion to el asadero and maybe we will try the sirloin or the rib eye I will report on in another review. we would recommend el asadero for those who love big steaks at a reasonable price."
