"The Lion's Head staff were super knowledgeable and clearly explained the precautions they take in the kitchen. They have a dedicated fryer and kitchen space, and told me each dish that came out that was gf to confirm. More than what is marked on the menu is gf (we had wings, burgers, and dessert! . It's a big, family feeling restaurant with lots of space. It was busy but the service was great and fast!"

"First of all let me start by saying the food was very good. I would have thought the spaghetti should have come with a salad. the linen napkins need to be replaced as smell strongly of grease to the point it turned our stomachs. I feel the restaurant just needs some fine tuning. good thing we had cash as the debit was not working due to internet connection. I would like to give this place another try just based on the fact that the food was good."

"Had the most incredible experience here 4 weeks ago! The food was some of the best I've ever had in Halifax! The wine was amazing, and the service was fast, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had the House Cured Charcterie to start, I have the Duck Margret as my main, and my partner had the Beef Striploin as her main. For desert we finished off with the Terrine. It was all outstanding, one of the best meals top to bottom I have ever had. Cannot recommend Stories more!"

"We ordered takeout on a Saturday night. The order was ready promptly. The buffalo chicken wings were very heavy on the batter but had good flavor served with super chunky blue cheese dressing. The steak cheese spring rolls were tasty but the dipping sauce was unidentifiable. Not blue cheese or ranch and the consistency of mayo? The beet salad was a little bland we wished we had an extra dressing. The chopped salad was plentiful good the chunky blue cheese dressing again was good. Though it wasn't remarkable we will go back try sitting at the bar and give them a second chance to Wow us. Portions were generous."

"If you leave full, that is your own problem. These hoagies are packed full of freshly cut meats, cheeses and veggies. We ordered 3 different hoagies and each one was spot on, including my vegetarian wife's veggie hoagie. Not only is everything in the hoagie fresh, but the roll is next level. I highly recommend the white seeded. It takes that Italian hoagie to the next level. As someone who travels for work extensively and eats out way more than I should due to traveling, this place ranks right up there with the BEST sandwich shops. The owner, is super sweet as well and is pleasant to talk to. You can feel the passion and care towards her employees, patrons and business operations. My only regret is not stopping in the first time we drove by!"
