"The ambience at Bar Acura is great. The servers were very attentive and polite, they even helped us to our table a little earlier than we had booked. The wine list is also good, and they prepared some really good mocktails with local lilikoi. The food itself is average. We had tomato on bruschetta which was not a traditional pan con tomate, but more a tomato in balsamic sauce for you to dip bread into. It was too acidic. We also had the clams, which were tasty enough, but the portion size was too small. The Hawaiian fish was excellent cooked very nicely indeed, but unfortunately the pineapple purée was grainy and did not work in terms of flavour. The best part of the meal was the dessert. We had tangerine sorbet and cheesecake, which were excellent. This was definitely the highlight of the email. Overall we felt that the food here was acceptable but very much overpriced. All in our bill was $200 for two of us. Food in Kauai is generally expensive so this is not an outrageous amount, but frankly we left a little hungry and underwhelmed by the flavours. When we asked for more bread, they were very stingy and brought two slices of baguette. For this price, we would expect a bread basket to be regularly replenished. This is a tapas restaurant, and the portions should rightly be small. However at these prices, they are too small and not particularly incredible."

"We were attracted to the lack of masses and relatively fast service. Good food at relatively good prices. As a retired teacher, I immediately realized that we were in a former school house. What a view the children have earlier!"

"On this cluster of food trucks after a afternoon in hanalei. this was the only open lkw, and I was happy to see it has a all vegan combo on the menu. this was a lot of food for a reasonable price and it really hit the place. the service was friendly and I loved the atmosphere of the opposite. I got medium-spoken, and that was much spicy for me (just to the right). I really wish the Thai place and the holey grail donut truck were open when I left. it is perhaps a half block on the road from the wish well shaved icy stand (which was also fantastic). if they are in the opposite, in any case by and check out some of the places. hopefully more of the lkws will be opened by previous review updated on 2021-12-31"

"Incredible food produced by a mobile kitchen in a tent. priced fix menu with room for alternatives if you give the chef some warning. The chef was young and excellent, a real up and comer. The menu was also locally obtained."
