"Almshouse approx 40 minutes walk from Aschau in the middle of the woods serving delicious homemade cakes, local cheeses/meats and a good range of traditional meals. The day we were there we had a choice of chocolate or raspberry cake. The raspberry cream cake was as light as a feather and very fresh and tasty whilst my husbands sachertorte style cake with lashings of cream was the best he has tasted.( and he has tasted quite a few). We had a large coffee which came with a welcome glass of water and all was presented well. This is a traditional family run hutte and as usual in Austria is exceptionally clean and family was really friendly and welcoming."
