"This is our favourite place for our girls lunch. We discovered Baxter Tavern because its roughly midway between my home and that of the other ladies who live in Rosebud, Nyora and Narre Warren. We have been to Baxter Tavern several times and would highly recommend it, that's why we have kept returning a few times a year for the last 8 or so years.Love the atmosphere, everyone is so friendly, its sort of like the old fashioned pub. They have lots of open fires blazing away in the winter to keep everyone snuggly and warm while eating and a separate gaming area room where they supply free tea and coffee for those playing the pokies.The food is absolutely delicious, I have always enjoyed their food and never had need to complain. They do have large servings, often striving to get through it all and never left there hungry. Great variety of choices, they have different specials on different days.You select your own table, go to the counter to order and pay, tell then your table number from a stand at the table you have chosen and they bring your meal when ready. Service is usually reasonably fast and they clear the table quickly when you're finished leaving you to chat and take your time, no rush to get you leaving as they have plenty of tables throughout 2 areas.Not sure what it would like on say a Saturday night though as we've only been for lunch during the day, I assume pretty packed though as I'd expect it would be quite busy.Plenty of car parking, easy access and departure as its on the corner of Baxter-Tooradin Rd and Fultons Rd (which is the extension of McClelland Dr Frankston) and they have driveways on both roads.They also have a drive through bottle shop and accommodation but I've never used either of these services."

"This little bakery makes the most marvellous cheesecake I have ever tasted! You might be luck and they have some in stock, but it is best to order it and then you are sure to get some. The cheesecake is rich and perfectly baked and never lasts long in our house - it just disappears out of the frig!"

"We order pizza from here regularly but sadly the quality seems to be going down hill. They have some nice pizzas on the menu but more often than not, one or more ingredients are either missing or changed. I've lost count how many times theyve got our order wrong."

"Great service, great food. Ordered an aussie pizza, garlic bread and a polo avacado fettuccine. The owner threw in a free soft drink so thank you! Pizza and garlic bread was great, pasta could have more flavor but that just may be me. Overall great food and great service."

"A few points from our lunch today: they have forgotten a few aspekte from my pizza, including one of the key sauce that there is a taste. we were told 10 minutes after we had ordered that the kitchen had run out of GF radios, so my partner decided to order what I had. this led to my eating coming 10 minutes before my partner. I understand that mine would have been prepared and ready before, but I would rather have kept the kitchen under a heat lamp so that we can have our food at the same time. I didn't want to eat when my partner couldn't, so I wait, but the bottom of it was that it got cold. When the food of my partner arrived, I had to remind the waitress that we had ordered to feed, she asked the kitchen if she had it, what they did not clearly, and then she told us that it was going to come. it was definitiw, but 5 minutes later. they had obviously forgotten to make it in the kitchen and made it as soon as they were remembered. that was very disappointing. that was all very disappointing, because the restaurant was very quiet with only 3 other tables. Moreover, the cook did not do much to illuminate our ghosts, passiw the bell to get the already conscious staff attention, it would have been nice to see that he use his energy to get our order right, instead of ruining the ambiente in the restaurant with unnecessary bell. the food was also very overpriced, altogether not coming back soon."

"We have been here a number of times. We love the chicken satay with roti bread, the beef and reef (its amazing), the calimari is great and the seafood crepes are yum. Would happily have any of them any day of the week although the beef and reef would feed us both. The service was efficient and friendly. It's surprising that this restaurant is so quiet."
