"We often use this bakery and have never been disappointed unless we were too late to get what we wanted as it is very popular! There is a wide choice and they will make lots of rolls and sandwiches to order. But best of...all are the doughnuts worth travelling for! There is a cricket ground and park nearby too."

"This bakery at the corner after the walk on a beautiful bridge in lewes discovered and decided to stop buying something brot, as I rarely enjoy real brot, since living in Britain. I got a sourdough and cut me a piece of this sourdough and I loved it. Now I have to try."

"Good morning Lewes Today I visited the Offham Farm shop for a full English Breakfast. This is a place I would recommend a visit not just for Tea cake and coffee but a cooked meal or just to buy some nice home grown food. I am assured by staff most of the products sold on the premises are either home grown or locally sourced. The layout is spacious products for sale are all displayed in glass cooling cabinets table and chairs are well spaced out clean and tidy"

"We booked Sunday lunch here, expecting a roast dinner of the sort we used to be able to get on a very regular basis before lockdowns. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that they had stopped doing roasts two weeks ago, although they would...be starting them again in October. The current Sunday menu consisted of predominately burgers, or chips, or of course both not really what I wanted for Sunday lunch. So I opted for a starter and a sweet. The starter I chose was cod goujons with tartare sauce. The tartare sauce, although it came in a wee dish, was anonymous and tasteless, but the batter on the goujons was excellent light, thin and crisp. I then ordered the double chocolate cake with icecream and strawberries. When it arrived it was an extraordinary size easily twice what I was expecting. It was a four-layer chocolate cake, slightly warmed and with half-melted chocolate icing acting more as a sauce. Because the menu listed it as VE I assume the icecream was vegan, although there was nothing about its taste to indicate that. It came with raspberries instead of strawberries, but I was perfectly happy with that. Meanwhile, my husband had fish and chips, which was a hefty helping of which he managed to eat about two-thirds. We will of course be back in October, because we still have wistful memories of their excellent Sunday roasts of yesteryear."
