"Beautiful area, very nice and clean looking aesthetic. Food was expensive-what it normally is for Italian food. Split 2 pizzas between 9 people, the margarita pizza was good but the quatro fromaggio was alright-kind of dry. We ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli which was hard and undercooked. Overall the food was underwhelming and not worth the price. We did enjoy the fresh mozzarella and prosciutto that the manager was walking around selling for $7. Nice place to get together and take pics but the food was below average."

"Had a good dinner here while in Toronto. So many Toronto restaurants are high priced but the Merchant seemed like good value. The $6 Kona beer helped a lot!Had the fishbowl....not real large portions but good flavour.Dessert was disappointing. Skip it and have an appetizer! Pretty sure the server said Strawberry Rhubarb cheesecake but it was very runny and was topped by strawberries and GREEN GRAPES!! What!?!?!"
