"We only had drinks, but the server was very friendly and attentive, the sangria and other drinks were well made. Inside the place was busy and all the tapas that I saw were excellent. Its close to the pousada de Pamela and the views from...the castle are exceptional."

"I've eating in several Pousadas and it's usually a hit or miss situation. In this case it was a pleasant surprise . The food was delicious and the service satisfactory and old world. What made the experience was the atmosphere in particular the room. It's always a pleasure to dine in a historic location, particularly a castle. Not only was the dinner romantic, but breakfast in the courtyard was even more so. The restaurant does Serve regional cuisine and has an extensive wine list. The prices are a bit high but it is a Pousada and breakfast is included with the room."

"We ate here two nights running and called in for a wine on the second day as well, because of the wonderful service we received there. The first night we shared a fish stew and there would still have been enough left for another person!...On the second day we had completed a long walk, so called in for a wine and some of their delicious chocolate cake. In the evening, we returned and had a steak and a fish, both well cooked. The service was excellent, with helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend, especially if you like Portuguese style food."
