"Excellent place in San Miguel de Allende downtown, if you are looking for delicious and well served Mexican traditional food, this is the place you tend to go. We had de arrachera steak and enmoladas with a guacamalole as an entry great food and the clamato michelada was delicious! If you're here, you have to try this restaurant! Great quality and service. The food is amazing and the prices are cheap. If you come to...San Miguel you must try this place. They are only open Friday and Saturday 9-2 and Sunday 9-3."

"I don't understand reviewers that rave on and on about a place and then rate it a 3 or a 4 because it isn't fine dining. This doesn't make sense at all! I want to be able to scan through the top 20 restaurants and find the best of every category. So, with that in mind, here are my observations. Breakfast: The food is the best part. I have been here for breakfast twice. The first time I ordered Huevos San Miguel, and the second time for Huevos Del Sol. Both plates tasted authentic and delicious. Both had plenty of sauce, which I happily sopped up with the bread from my bread basket. The chile sauce on the table was delicious. Coffee: Most restaurants of this category only have instant coffee. This place has an espresso machine, which in my mind is a big plus. The coffee, however was just ok, but still a great value. This is not a fancy coffee shop. Juice: my glass of freshly squeezed orange juice hit the spot. Price: cheap. My plate, two cups of coffee and fresh OJ was $98 pesos ($5.30US at today's exchange rate) Restaurant category: Diner (or Mexican equivalent). As such, they hit the mark. I will be back."
