"After having read reviews from all ends of the scale, we decided to give The Train the benefit of doubt. We went there with the optimistic focus from the good reviews. It didn't help. The staff was very nice, and absolutely did a good job...to make the visit a pleasant one. Our family of five opted for a 2-3 split for meat and cheese fondue. The meat fondue was tasty and good. (I had a couple of bites, even if I had opted for the cheese fondue. However, the cheese fondue was, I am sorry to say, a disaster. Fondue cheese is supposed to be matured. Whatever was used in our fondue was so un-tasty that our very foodie family did not even half-finish the pot. We just couldn't. That has NEVER happened before! An advice to The Train: if you claim to be a fondue restaurant, at least use fondue cheese. PLEASE! The one positive thing about the cheese fondue? The bread was fresh and good. Staff: 4 Food: 2"
