"This Bread Museum is far more interesting than it might sound. We had a buffet meal first in the spacious restuarant beneath the museum. Everyone in our group really enjoyed the range of food. I cannot think of many museums around the world that provide food like that, most have fast food at best, this was a real restuarant experience. The museum itself was interesting though there is only so much you can say and show about making bread the cultural and historical side of bread making in Portugal was quite fascinating. There is a rather strange exhibition of gnome like puppets to be seen in another part of the building and a shop where you can buy bread and some other foods. Well worth a visit if you are in the area."

"Very friendly staff and fast service. Waiters speak Portuguese, French and English. we have bread and olives before meal. I had half of the two vegan meals the vegetarian lentil dish, which was rice, cabbage and lentils with carrots and spices, and the vegetarian penne pasta. both were also vegan, they understood veganism and assured us that there were no animal ingredients. meals were simple, but very tasty. I prefer the pasta. really delicious sauce and well prepared vegetables. the restaurant seemed populair. the food was not expensive."
