"Thanks to all at the Bull for making June 10th such a special day for the birthday boys. Everybody was pleased with the excellent service, which gave more than i could hope for. The food was also greatly enjoyed by all, and everybody had a Lovely time. Thanks also for the fuss made over the other birthday boy on June 20th, we had a splendid meal and we were all replete and happy as we left. Once again, many thanks to all at the Bull. Best regards, Malcolm."

"The rooms at the Riverside are OK for a one or two-night stay. They were clean and functional although could have done with thicker curtains to block the morning sunshine from lighting the room up too early in the day. The staff were friendly and helpful and the beer was great and we had a good Full English on the Sunday morning. Good signal on the WiFi. Downsides? Quite a few steps to negotiate from the front although there’s level access at the rear. Quite a musty smell in the breakfast area."

"We phoned for a delivery a pizza large fries and a Donna kebab 1hour and a half late it arrived after we rang back to see what was happening it arrive the pizza was Luke warm the fries was stone cold as was the kebab we microwaved the fries but they was un eatable the pizza we ate but was cold as kebab will never use these again total waste of money"

"The ‘reviews’ tab at the top doesn’t seem to be working so will post on here. I have been coming here regularly for around 35 years always for breakfast on my way on holiday. It has been through good times and bad times. Today was not so good. A young European lad was learning the ropes on the tills. That was fine, there was someone with him and everyone has to start somewhere. But when my food was brought out by a young European girl who I also guess was new she read out the ticket ‘small breakfast no beans’ I pointed out that there were beans on the plate so it wasn’t mine. She then read the ticket again and tried to give it to me. She clearly had a limited understanding of the language. My husband then returned from getting our cutlery and tried explaining again that it wasn’t what we ordered and repeated what I just said. She eventually took it away, only for a different person to bring exactly the same plate back! They also brought it with toast although I had ordered no extra bread and my husband had ordered bread and butter and not toast. We did get the right food eventually, and I have no objection to youngsters learning a job, but surely it makes sense to ensue they have a good grasp of the language? The food of course, as always, was EXCELLENT , it was hot and good value for money! On another positive note there is FINALLY a disabled toilet available! Woohoo! Up through the bar and towards the flower shop, in an empty part of the warehouse. Ramps have been put in for access. It is also nice that it’s accessed with a radar key so you don’t get all and sundry using it. A much needed recent improvement to make the cafe accessibly for all."

"I’m reviewing this whilst waiting for my food to be delivered. That’s how confident I am with the quality of the food from here. Friendly, great food, resonantly priced and always hot fresh and delicious. The kitchen is spotless, the staff are great and always friendly. Don’t go anywhere else. The take card if you collect so have improved in line with the changing times. Couldn’t recommend them enough."

"The service was very poor, we had to ask for the dessert order to be taken. Very rude staff, when the broccoli ran out we asked if there was more and got an abrupt ‘NO’, it no alternative provided. Pimms trifle was disgraceful and when discussed with the owner was told it was supposed to be like that. Cream unset, custard unset, not fresh cream. The chef looking after the carvery needs to do a customer service course. The vegetarian option was not cooked properly."
