"The Saloniki is a family-run restaurant that has long been an institution in Ulm. In the guest room everything is somehow stressed in Greek, partly exaggerated as I find (there are at least 4 decorative boards with the corresponding columns below and then there is always the typical plastic and plaster art kit that is not the case in Greece... In the upper part of the room there is a shelf that surrounds the room and is completely filled with dusty spirits. Apparently, the host is a collector. For what? The operation quickly came to the place, but was very laconic and radiated quite lustless in the evening. After the order she was back in record time and put a (good Retsina and an Ouzo on the table. It took about 1 2 minutes, then the salad was there. Greek hots here: green salad, turbulent carrots, bean salad and overcrowded pomegranate seeds and sunflower seeds. A Greek? I didn't know. The salad was fresh, but the sauce was very in German. When I'm in a Greek place for the first time, I'm always ordering Souvlaki. Something simple. You see how the cook thinks and acts. After the salad it took only a short time until the plate with the 2 spikes came. For the meat, unfortunately, as so often, simple pig carvings were taken into pieces and these were taken in large pieces along the spear (not the small cubes as you in Greece. Unfortunately, the carvings are not optimal for grilling, which is then slightly dry. It was just here. sauce? Unfortunately also here not really Greek: in the original one would have poured the spices with a marinade of good olive oil and lemon. The fries were good, the rice too, but I asked about the Zaziki. He was full of herbs, rather went towards Frankfurt's green sauce, not really Zaziki. But also not bad from taste. What then definitely did not fit was the decoration of the meat with a *earberry*. I'm really open to new things, but garlic with strawberry just doesn't fit. The cook seems to be doing well, but shoots beyond the finish. Here I would like to remember the clear Greek original with good ingredients. On me the present seemed more touching and somewhat exaggerated. I don't know the other Greeks in Ulm yet, but I can't imagine that the Saloniki will occupy the top place."

"After a successful wander around all the old parts of this lovely town, I emerged from the Fishermen's Quarter and stumbled on the John Benton restaurant. They have a good number of chairs and tables outside with a view over to the old Town Hall (Rathaus). I settled into a bistro chair outside and ordered a large glass of the local Gold Ochsen lager type beer Ulm's self proclaimed liquid gold. I then decided to take my time and embark on some serious people watching. Even though most other customers were eating I wasn't put under any pressure to order food, nor to move on. What a nice way to spend a relaxing afternoon when on vacation."

"Very nice place in central location with the view on Cathedral. Coffee portions are huge and they offer wide range of meals. Bathrooms are clean and have flowers However, you can see wifi, but they say it's not working If you're sitting in the first room, tou can smell everything being cooked cause kitchen is open and it's not nice, especially when smth's being fried. Besides broad meal offer, there's limited pastry offer only four cakes/pies to choose from."

"Good selection of baked goods, including seasoned and filled products. we try a brot filled with ham and salat with pumpkin seeds and cheese glaze, overall a good sandwich, as well as a classic pulp. on the table we sat on this place at midday, which was historically only a bakery, now a real bakery bar! good solution for hurly."

"The best doner kebab far and wide. Super fresh, regional ingredients always friendly service. Dining on site is rather difficult as it is very small stuffy inside. But when the weather is good, there is plenty of seating around the shop. A little bit more expensive but considering the quality, the price is absolutely justified! If you want to eat cheaper doner kebab, you can certainly do that in Ulm. but it's your own fault if it doesn't taste good ; (Original Der beste Döner weit und breit. Super frische, regionale Zutaten immer freundlicher Service. Vor Ort speisen ist eher schwierig da es innen sehr klein stickig ist. Aber bei gutem Wetter gibt es im Umfeld des Ladens genug Sitzmöglichkeiten. Preislich ein wenig teurer aber bei der Qualität ist der Preis absolut gerechtfertigt! Wer billiger Döner essen will, kann das sicherlich auch in Ulm… ist dann aber auch selber Schuld wenn es nicht schmeckt ;"
