"There’s a number of options for breakfast along the lengthy Charlton Esplanade, the pleasant beachfront drive that edges the wide bay on which the city of Hervey Bay and its suburbs straddles. We settled on Bean Beat; there was a decent menu, shady outside seating,...the promise of a good freshly-brewed coffee, nearby parking, and a lovely little pier on which to walk afterwards. We were only passing through the city, en route from Bundaberg to Hervey Bay Airport for our direct flight to Sydney. The breakfast menu was certainly eclectic, incorporating current trends (fads? , and pleasing all palates. Orders are placed inside, and delivered fairly promptly to your table. We started with excellent freshly-brewed coffee. The long black with additional espresso shot was robust and strong. The flat white, and cappuccinos, were also very good. Our meals were also very good: ample, fresh, piping hot, and tasty. We ordered the acai fruit bowl, the avocado chorizo stack, the avocado bacon stack, and a salmon omelette. The açai fruit bowl was piled high with fresh fruit, seeds, toasted almonds and a generous portion of the smoothie from the frozen and pulped açai berries was creamy, thick and sweet. The chorizo stack was also delicious: a succulent chorizo, plenty of avocado and a perfectly poached egg. The salmon omelette was huge, with plenty of salmon, and perfectly turned. We all enjoyed our coffees and breakfast dishes, and would return without hesitation. The cafe is early missed; it’s appearance is a bit nondescript, but it is worth seeking out. It's far enough from the kerb for diners not to be bothered with the constant stream of traffic that motors up and down the esplanade. It's also a perfect spot for an after-meal walk; there's a beautiful little wooden pier just opposite, with miles of pristine sandy beach treating off into the distance. We visited from the UK in February 2020, so I am unable to comment on any current COVID measures which the cafe may now have in place."

"What a pleasant Friday afternoon eat great Indian food in Hervey Bay. My husband ate the chicken Vindaloo and I had the chicken madras, both with coconut rice and a garlic naan. If you want original Indian cuisine, this is the place to book... a table."

"I used to have a high priority, but the service was regrettably young employees with little training. Food has also been used in the quality of our group to visit regularly we all stopped going. Chrissy, Sam Shaz are the only ones that are respected by customers."

"I have been to this restaurant many times for lunch and dinner, my only choice in Hervey Bay.the menu is varied, beautifully presented by very friendly people. if it is a quiet night it is romantic and relaxed with attentive, relaxed service, just perfect.The view is spectacular sitting out on undercover verandahs amidst the trees and plants.It is licenced which completes the experience. I must mention the food, the oysters are so fresh, the Panko Prawns my favourite with a nice selection of home made desserts. it is easy to access and park.It is breathtaking on a moonlight night."
