"Annie's was previously a favorite breakfast spot for us. We recommended it to people, craved certain things, the whole 9 yards. The service there was always a mixed bag, but the food was always great. This past weekend we took an out of state visitor there to share a good local food experience with them. We were seated and not approached by a server until I asked for one 15 minutes later. They weren't busy. We ordered and the food came in a normal amount of time, but the scones we ordered never came. When we asked our server about it he chuckled, apologized, and said they (the kitchen? forgot them. The food was flavorless. Normally the SOS gravy is well seasoned and delicious. My scone had raw dough in the middle. Our out of state guest was polite about it, but the meal just wasn't what we experienced from Annie's in the past. The bad service was something we could overlook in the past because of how good the food was, but now there is no excuse and really no reason for us to go back. Maybe our experience was an anomaly. Either way, Annie's needs to do better."
