"Olive et Gourmando is the best food in the world. Not the best pastries in the world. The best food in the world. We are flying back to the States today, and I have accepted the fact that for the next few months, I will surely wake up in a cold sweat nightly. At first I won’t know what’s wrong the looming threat of world war? The untimely death of Chris Cornell? Bees? Then it will occur to me that I have no access to these pastries and I will weep while rocking in the fetal position for hours, rendering myself so exhausted and useless that I will lose both my job and my children. Thanks, Olive et Gourmando, for ruining my life."

"This Indian restaurant is being constantly fined by Quebec Health Inspections for several health violations Including insect and other invasions . They have had heavy fines imposed the last being twice in 2017.They do a very brisk buisiness in take out and a fairly busy restaurant clientele. The food is hot and mostly good but there is poor quality control, the same item being very good one day and poor the next. Meat rolls for example may have very little meat but just potatoes. The frying oil often tastes rancid, probably due to reuse.A merchant on the store opposite was knifed and killed just a few years ago by his neighbour storekeeper, so the area Poses safety issues."

"This place is a great find! Doesn't look much from the outside but the food is really good for breakfast and the portions are not too big, but far from small. The personel is attentive and quick to get you anything you need. I ate one of their breakfast sandwich. The sandwich itself was so satisfying and the potatoes were great. The fruits were fresh and tasty. I strongly recommend this place for brunch."

"Mangia, in downtown Montreal, features a wide range of freshly made salads and charges by weight. The more you take, the more you pay. I had a wonderful medley of seafood, chickpeas, mango and tomato, a large slice of home made apple and raisin cake and a can of pop and it cost me just $22 Canadian. The service was very friendly."

"Very disappointed. Used to be good. Steak frites arrived cold. Sent it back and only got it back when the other 5 members of my party were almost finished eating. Didn’t finish that one either it was too tough. Ordered a grappa after supper, that didn’t arrive either. Once again it came only after everyone else was finished there drinks. If that wasn’t enough we were told to hurry out even when a few of our guests were still not finished with their drinks. We finally voiced our dismay only to be told by a little blonde haired “OBNOXIOUS” STAFF member guy that he welcomes us never to come back again. . Get your act together guys! :"

"I loved St-Viateur Bagel. I visited it two times before leaving Montreal. The staff is super generous. They have many options in bagels and spreads for both veg and non-vegs. They also have drinks and sandwiches available at the cafe. We ordered 4-5 different types of bagels and spreads , they were super delicious ?. It's a must must visit cafe when you are in Montreal. Highly recommend it."
