"I will preface this review by saying that I have eaten at this café before and really enjoy the food, particularly the "Turkey and Avocado" sandwich, which some with tomato, lettuce and is really yummy. But a few weeks ago, blood test results confirmed that I have a gut allergy to egg whites, wheat, sunflower oil and some other things.So this morning I met my son there to have a nice breakfast and I asked the waitress if she could basically give me a place of what they would put on the "Turkey and Avocado Sandwich onto a place and leave off the bread because of allergies. She replied "No I can't do that." So their entire menu except for a few sides (nothing I was interested in) is egg dishes and sandwiches. So I had to sit there and watch my son eat his breakfast while I ate nothing. I am also hypo-glycemic and this really screwed up my blood sugars today. The cafe only has about seven tables and the food is prepared right there in front of everybody, so the waitress and owner basically watched all this. There was no apology, no effort to help me try to find something I could eat, no accommodation whatsoever, except at one point the owner asked if I wanted a glass of water. I find this treatment disgusting and will not be going back ever. I have been to numerous restaurants since my test results that have been only too happy to accommodate my allergies, as they should. My request this morning was not because I am a fussy eater, it is a health risk."

"Its rare to discover little places that serve just phenomenal food and inspired drinks (we went for dinner) ... this place is a gem - so much so I had to convince the staff to get on tripadvisor. First things first the place is quite small but very intimate; staff are super friendly and because its smaller the service is sharp.Food: Unreal ... a lot of thought has gone into the menu and everything was just so fresh (turns out they grow all their herbs themselves). Drink: Kinda nifty, and for Toronto its bloody cheap! an 8 person dinner with liberal drinkers was way way cheaper than going to a chain. Will I come back again: YES. Is it a good place for like 8 people to meet: YES but reserve like we did.Am I still thinking about the food: YES ... the pork tenderloin especially.For me (and I've been around the world reviewing) this ones a winner"

"Even though he was overcrowded, eating was continuously brought out. the seats were overcrowded, as there is little space, even had to move so that they could reserve seats. the food was good. hot was hot cold was cool. some elements should be on an ice pool. lack of space...fill on the plate yo. server were very good and helpful."
