"Love this little place! Came here for the first time about five years ago when my husband and I visited KC for our second anniversary, so it holds a special place in my heart. Went back with my sister and it was very good! It’s been many years so the menu has changed, but it was still good. We just snacked and got the Brie, devilled eggs, and mussels and a bottle of sparkling for happy hour. Our server was very sweet, we got there about 5:50 and happy hour ended at six. No one came over to our table before 6pm (I almost got up and went to the bar myself). She finally came over right after it turned six. Asked for our drinks, and I inquired if we could still do the happy hour pricing on our drinks because no one came to our table for at least 10 minutes. She was hesitant at first but then said on our first round we could do happy hour pricing. It was very kind of her and I’ll remember that. It’s such a cozy, romantic atmosphere and they have a small patio as well. Definitely will come back next time I’m in KC!"

"Never had a bad meal here. Space is small so you need reservations for sure, but the staff will take great care of you. We always get the mussels (with extra bread to take advantage of the great tasting broth) and then enjoy sharing an entree like the scallops or chicken pot pie so we have room for dessert. Dim lighting, exposed brick walls, menu written on chalkboard on the wall, fantastic bar great date night place."

"This was our first time at Thea but it won't be our last! Everything from the food to the service was first class. The decor is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Love that it is a BYOB. The arugula beet salad was amazing and our entrees were equally impressive."

"Had Chefs Board which was great selection of cheese, meat, fruit and sauces. Sriracha Honey Fried Chicken Sammy was way too hot. Honey did not cool it down. Lips burned for quite awhile."

"The mussels were delicious and I would definitely order them again. I was a little worried that the curry would completely overtake the dish, but the sauce was smooth and light and complemented the mussels. The wild boar ragu was super flavorful, and even better the next day when reheated. I actually reheated it with the leftover risotto and it was even better than with the noodles. The risotto is amazing and I really wish they would make the ragu dish with it instead. The only item ordered that I was not a fan of was the brussel sprouts. The balsamic was not reduced enough so the flavor of the dish was a bit off. Overall, the food was great and I will definitely come back to try other items."
