"We were told about the farm shop so decided to see for ourselves why it was recommended. We weren't disappointed. I bought beautiful thank you cards, then browsed the food area. Can I recommend the cheese and chutney quiche. I'm not really a lover of quiche but something about it told me to try it. I'm so happy I did. I ate it cold and enjoyed every morsel. I will be back for more. If you haven't visited this wee gem before, please can I suggest you do."

"Always good and personal are so friendly and helpful. my part was too big to finish so they gave me a doggy bag to eat it later. really good of them to take such care. I've been coming for many years and it's great to be safe again in the pandemic."

"We visited for breakfast today, our 4 month old puppy Haggis in tow, and had the best time! Staff were super friendly and food was amazing and fresh. Beautifully decorated and really comfortable to sit in we were sat in the bar area but had a nosey in the conservatory too and will definitely be making a return visit. Thanks so much for making Haggis welcome too!"

"First visit to this super wee coffee shop. What a fantastic selection of homemade scones and cakes. Staff very friendly. Two teas and two cakes just over £10 so very good value. The cakes were absolutely delicious and it was nice to get something a wee bit different. Outside seating area with fab view of Wallace Monument and indoor dog friendly table too! Plenty of free parking so you can visit even if you are not going to the monument. Loyalty card available too definitely worth a return visit and you could always go for a walk round the Abbey Craig while you are there!"

"We LOVED Smithy's! The owners were so sweet, and the food was so good! We went with my parents and our five picky eater children, and everyone found something they loved. I ordered a turkey, cranberry and Brie sandwich one night and dish chips another night. One of the kids ordered chili. Everyone was pleased with their selections. The kids ordered strawberry milkshake/smoothie, and the presentation alone makes one feel special. We finished the meal with Millionaire Shortbread. It was so delicious that we bought more for the road. Sorry, I'm gushing! The next night, we couldn't decide where to eat dinner, so we went back to Smithy's. It was just as fabulous the second time! It closes early, so watch the clock if you're planning to go for dinner. I still dream of Smithy's ..."
