"During my second stay at the Riverbend Inn, I had the opportunity to dine at Oakland, their onsite restaurant, for both breakfast and dinner. My experiences were strikingly different across these two meals. Breakfast Experience: 5/5 My breakfast at Oakland was nothing short of delightful. The highlight was the Eggs Benedict perfectly poached eggs complemented by high quality ingredients. The service was equally impressive; the servers were both friendly and professional, contributing to a truly enjoyable morning. Dinner Experience: 1.5/5 (Holiday Menu) Regrettably, the dinner experience did not live up to the morning 's standard. The evening staff seemed less engaged and professional. My initial disappointment began with a specialty cocktail, recommended as sweet, which turned out to be unpleasantly bitter. The pumpkin soup that followed was a further letdown it was so diluted and lacking in flavor that I couldn 't bring myself to finish it. My feedback appeared to be disregarded by the server. The main course, a Turkey Dinner, was mediocre and failed to impress. Disappointed, I opted to skip dessert and conclude the meal. Summary Oakland at Riverbend offers a fantastic breakfast experience that I would highly recommend. However, the dinner service, particularly from the holiday menu, was a letdown due to its inconsistency in food quality and service. The stark contrast between meals on the same day was surprising and disappointing."

"Lobster Linguine: What a disappointment like many peas and bacon, but no fixed lobster pieces except a few tentacles that I would feed the cat and all this for $36. My friend had the Buffalo Milk Burrata with Heirloom tomatoes and said the tomatoes were definitely past their tip and would have been better suited in a pasta sauce and as for the Burrata, it was also a disappointment than fresh."
