"My trusted local! Love this place, such a cool atmosphere, and cosy corners! Music is always on top form, and the bar staff are fab : The food is scrummy, especially the chilli poppers! Yummmm! Very nice selection of beers, Source being a personal fav. Always have a good time here, thanks guys xx"

"I love block and I always recommend friends. I have been there for years for drinks and dinners, but I would really not recommend it there for “bottomless” brunch. there is no service at all, as there is a worker who serves many people (about 15-20 customers I think). they have to go into the bar and one because wait for their moderate refills (our mimics were about 4/5 juice and 1/5 prosecco, they were not very fizzy). I also didn't like to eat my food, was very disappointed (no one ever came to ask if everything was in order). so much I love block, this time I was really very disappointed. almost forget to mention the untrunken coffee. try as reused coffee stands, don't order a coffee!"

"This is a great local hove pub which has a busy teeming friendly hum friendly atmosphere, it’s quite compact but has some outside seating front and back (nice little yard and they really do some great delicious food (the clue is in the name . Although it’s as you would expect quite weighted towards the more carnivorous, they did (at the time we went have one vegan and two vegetarian dishes (my partner had the seitan garlic burger which apparently was delicious . The crowd here appear to be a mixture of regular locals and just ‘passing through visitors’ from out of the area and there is generally a pretty relaxed friendly. Welcoming, easy going, tolerant atmosphere which you’d kind of hope there would be in a pub that’s any good. They did get half of our food order wrong, but very quickly rectified that were extremely apologetic about it hey ho we’re all human make mistakes. Overall a great place to go for a meal (prices are just about in keeping with the average but I’d say the quality standard is a cut above consistently so as have been here a few times before or just a chilled drink with friends. Would definately recommend to locals or anyone visiting."
