"45 minutes wait to get in, but it's worth it. I had the 14oz ribeye and loaded baked potato that was so good. The staff was friendly and attentive and our waitress was at the top of the refills and inquiries. The atmosphere was fun and lively with a big birthday party next to us and the staff line dancing in the middle of the restaurant. We're full and happy."

"When you come to Lake Charles, Darrell is the first place you visit, period. Amazing Poboys, beautiful casual atmosphere and high-quality waiting staff ensure a great experience. The BBQ Beef Poboy is my Go-to-Ordner, as the Mayo/Mustard/Cheese/BBQ sauce mixture is heavenly and the bread is so buttery and flaky. Always on Darrell's first!"

"If you like 45+ minute wait times on food with a half full restaurant only to get cold food and an inattentive wait staff then this is the place for you! This review is based on the last three visits with separate waitresses. All the same results. Don't waste your time. Just buy some Tyson nuggets from the freezer section at your local grocery store."

"This BBQ is so good it should be illegal. Smoked brisket sandwiches here are going to be the end of my arteries I'm sure. The blackberry bread pudding will make you want to eat it first! I also enjoy the variety of beers and flavored sodas. ? The staff is always nice and friendly!"
