"Visiting Newport and came to this place last night for a drink, and wanted to come back for dinner tonight. First, my husband and I both didn't enjoy our drinks from yesterday blueberry mule and whiskey sour), but we liked the atmosphere of the place so we decided to give it another chance for dinner. The decor is cool but it was hot and musty inside. We were sat right away, but it took a rather long time for a server to grab out orders. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time as we had a feeling from the beginning things would be on the slower side. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my husband ordered a burger with cheese $1 extra) and bacon $2) extra. My quesadilla was a quesadilla, not much to mess up with a tortilla and cheese, but I will say it's quite evident the chicken they used was microwaved out of a bag. My husband ordered his burger medium rare, it came the first time around well done and burnt to a crisp. We sent it back and finally when it came back, it was still burnt to a crisp on the outside, but inside was rare as can be. Overall service was pretty sub par, the manager never came over to apologize for the food being sent back, just walked by and gave us weird looks a few times."

"Waitress was very knowledgeable about the newer menu, able to answer specific questions about many food and drink choices. Food was excellent, drinks were too, service was fantastic! as non-locals living on the island it was fun to have a southern style menu in the heart of beautiful Newport, we will definitely be coming back!"

"Came here on a Saturday evening and sat in the lower bar. Bartender was sweet and made great drinks we had a Cosmo and Shirley temple. For food we grabbed a few apps the ribs and the classic tots. Both came out pretty quick and while absolutely delicious, were def a tad on the small side. For $16, the rib portion was quite small 3 ribs. And the generally speaking, tots are not an expensive thing, so for $9 I would have hoped for a basket, not a tiny side dish. The flavors were great and the dipping sauce La that came with the tots were all tasty. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and we enjoyed every morsel. I just really wish the portions were bigger! All in all, good food and service, just a bit pricey."
