"I don't see the point in making a reservation and getting the WORST table in the restaurant in a high traffic area by the washrooms and the front door only to have walk-ins get far superior sitting locations. What was supposed to be a Birthday celebration was not what I was expecting as I had to keep moving my chair to let people go by. Very disappointed considering the superior experience I had at the Burlington location."

"They make excellent sandwiches. I keep winding up ordering the brisket sandwich but really want to try their steak sandwich and meatball sub. Will definitely go back, they also have a super cool vending machine with every variant of every flavor of soda this should be standard everywhere. Highly recommend."

"Called ahead for reservation for 2 for our anniversary....told we had to be out in an hour because of a festival in area...server was absent the majority of time...no dessert menu - told to go look at desserts in the cooler in front...They seated each party right up against each other, when there were plenty of empty tables around.......really annoying and no reason for it...Food was average..had pizza, salad and grilled calamari...Calamari portion was TINY for $15...pizza was fine, salad was average...no dessert, since no dessert menu...they seemed to be completely overplaying this street festival and telling all clients how busy they were at 6 pm, but the place was not close to full...won't be back - tons of better options in area"

"We arrived in town late needing dinner, but didn't want anything too heavy. Excellent selection for tapas, not only for the meat eater, but also for a vegetarian/vegan. Very nice decor, owner was a delight and the service was exceptional!"

But not very consistent all the time.Despite that, when not busy you can have a great time.Yes it’s pricey but again it’s justified with the location food choice. "Our first pleasant visit was in June (see my review) but we came back hoping to find consistency in food quality and service. We weren't disappointed. The girls wanted the deep fried peppers. Our comely server Jyl told us they're served as coins rather than spears which, for some patrons, was a deal breaker. Ridiculous, as the peppers were delicious with a thin but crunchy batter. Daughter 1 had the chicken Caesar wrap and fries, so big she took the rest home to devour later. Daughter 2 had the basic grilled cheese, and also loved it. Their friend thoroughly enjoyed the Shakers burger and cheese. The wife had the brisket bun with fries and coleslaw, pausing her consumption only to slog some 1812 cab merlot. I repeated the order on my last visit, the brisket plate with a 1/4 slab of ribs. The meats practically melt in your mouth with an incredibly flavourful BBQ sauce. The beans were similar. This joint is the best BBQ in Oakville, but is worth the drive from anywhere in the GTA."
