"Went in to ask about todays lunch (salad buffet, precourse and main course for 10 sols and the lady behind the counter was very kind! The pre course contained gluten but I was able to get a bigger main course: Also, all other food on the menu is labeled with their ingredients. I usually don’t eat too much vegetarian so maybe my tastebuds aren’t too used to it, but I thought the food tasted a bit bland. Some spices definitely would have been good!"

"We stayed at Inkarri Hostal and this restaurant is a block away. It does not look like much from the outside (the best not), but the food is excellent. For 7 Soles (only over 2 dollars) you will receive a salad with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, beets, broccoli and cauliflower. Squeeze a little lime juice and your drain and run. There were several Entrées to choose from like chicken, trout, and even Lomo Saltada and to complete it, order the portions and all the ingredients are fresh. The man is the waiter and the woman cooks. The device is a little slow, but when the food arrives, everything is forgotten. Add 3 Soles for an Inca Cola, and life cannot be better."

"This is a great little spot in San Blas, very cozy with traditional Peruvian food. The ceviche and meat skewers (many options available) are yummy. The neighborhood has has several small local medicinal herb shops and the restaurant's sauces and teas incorporate these too. Service is great (and wifi)."

"Chose here as the menu looked slightly better / more extensive than some of the other places on the square. Took an age to get the free drink offered – we both chose lemonade – but when it came it was amazing, probably the best lemonade I’ve had! Sweet but not too sweet, and not fizzy at all. There was also free salad although this stretched little beyond a few leaves, radish and onion – and some sort of posh crisps. Not that I’m complaining – it was free and a nice gesture!I ordered lamb which came with a sweet, fruity glaze. It came with some authentic chips and a token broccoli floret. It was good comfort food but not one of the best meals I’d had on the trip. My partner had trout with a creamy sauce, which was pretty good but the quinoa that came with it was a bit sloppy and – strangely – served cold.Despite the restaurant quality menu, this place was more café than restaurant in terms of food and décor, if you know what I mean. Would have given it 3 stars but gets an extra one for the amazing lemonade!"
